Found new variants that indicate a predisposition to type 2 diabetes

An international team of scientists co-led by the University of Michigan have discovered more than 12 regions of the genome with DNA variants that are associated with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, bringing the number to 38.The researchers also wanted to know if people who had not yet developed type 2 diabetes, but diabetes is the variant showed elevated levels of blood glucose, a major predictor of diabetes, said study co-leader Laura Scott research associate at the UM School of Public Health.

We have seen amazing ride or a predisposition not only related, but seemingly unrelated traits, said Boehnke, who suggested that there may be key regulators of the genome that play a role in many aspects of physiology and health.

E ‘is a common myth that people with acne should not use moisturizers, when in fact the opposite is true. If you do not use a daily moisturizer, the skin may become red and peel easily for drying effect of the drug against acne. Adding hydration of the skin may antagonize the effects of these drugs.

What our study suggests that many of these variants are associated with changes in glucose levels long before people develop diabetes, said co-leader Michael Boehnke, professor of biostatistics at the School of Unified Messaging Public Health.
