Abnormal sensitivity to sunlight

It can occur in a person who is exposed to UV light for too long and is mainly due to the UV-B. On the other hand, a person with photodermatitis hypersensitive is primarily UV-A radiation.

One in ten people react to sunlight through development. This abnormal reaction is one of a group of disorders known as photodermatitis. In the current issue of Deutsches Ă„rzteblatt International, Percy Lehmann, Thomas Schwarz describe the clinical range of skin diseases and treatment options : 135-41).

Thomas D. Sequist, MD, M.H. and the team conducted a randomized controlled trial involving 1103 patients aged 50 to 75 in a group practice – the study was to research the effectiveness of using a patient’s electronic mail system. All participants had a personal electronic health records, which contains data on future dates cancer screening colorectal cancer. Half of them – the group e-mail – were randomly selected to receive an e-mail from their doctor if they had lost appointments for screening. They also received a link to a web-based tool to enable them to assess their risk of developing colorectal cancer.

The other half – the control group – did not receive e-mails, if they have missed an appointment for screening.
